DAY 1: Welcome to Kathmandu!
Altitude: 1,350m/4,428ft
Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital and cultural hub of Nepal! We’ll greet you warmly and ensure
a smooth transfer to your hotel. After your long flight, take some time to rest—your adventure
begins tomorrow!
DAY 2: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, we’ll tour Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. First, we’ll visit Kathmandu
Durbar Square, a masterpiece of Malla dynasty architecture. Then, we’ll explore Swayambhunath Temple,
known as the Monkey Temple for its resident monkeys. Next, we’ll head to Pashupatinath Temple by
the Bagmati River, a major site for Lord Shiva. Finally, we’ll admire Bauddhanath Stupa, one
of South Asia’s largest stupas, along the historic trade route to Tibet.
DAY 3: SIGHTSEEING IN BHAKTAPUR AND NAGARKOT
We’ll explore Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that retains its authentic local lifestyle,
having remained untouched by Kathmandu's hustle. In the city square, we’ll admire the Nyata-Pola
Temple, the Golden Gate, water spouts, and the 55 Window Palace, creating a magical atmosphere.
We’ll also savor local delicacies before heading to Nagarkot, a village at 7,200 feet known for
breathtaking Himalayan views and spectacular sunrises or sunsets, depending on your preference.
DAY 4: NAGARKOT TO CHITWAN
Altitude: 815 m/2,674 ft: 4-5 hours
After an early breakfast, we’ll drive 175 kilometers to Chitwan, winding along the
Trishuli River. After checking into our hotel, we’ll receive a briefing on our
activities. We’ll then stroll along the Rapti River to catch a sunset in the
sub-tropical jungles. In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner accompanied by a cultural program
featuring traditional tribal dances from the Chitwan region.
DAY 5: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
We’ll start the day with an early morning elephant safari through dense grasslands to observe wildlife
in its natural habitat. After breakfast, we’ll visit the elephant stables and enjoy bathing the
elephants. In the afternoon, we can drive through the jungle or take a canoe ride on the Rapti River,
where we might spot gharial and mugger crocodiles, freshwater dolphins, otters, and various water
birds. Alternatively, we can go birdwatching or take nature walks to explore the park's diverse
flora and fauna.
DAY 6: CHITWAN TO KATHMANDU
In the early morning, we’ll go bird-watching in Chitwan National Park, home to numerous resident and
migratory birds. After breakfast, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu, arriving by evening for a farewell
dinner to celebrate the successful conclusion of our trip in Nepal.
DAY 7: KATHMANDU DEPARTURE DAY
Our Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan Tour in Nepal comes to an end today! A representative from Above
& Beyond Trekking will take you to the airport approximately three hours before your scheduled flight.

EXTRA COSTS AND EXCLUSIONS
Nepal multiple entry visa 30 days ($50 USD). Sleeping Bag Rental $12 and Down Jacket $12 if needed.
All the meals are included on the trek but we only include breakfast while you are in Pokhara.
We suggest a tip for the guide and porter after the trek - Plan on a at least $80 (more will be
appreciated). We don't include drinking water on the trek which you can buy a number of places for
between $1 and $3 a bottle (it gets more expensive towards base camp). A better solution is to buy
water tablets in Kathmandu for around $2 and treat the water (your guide can help you find the
good places to fill your water bottle). The other things not included on the trek are like Wifi,
charging batteries and hot showers. Wifi is available in some tea houses for $3 to $5 an hour.
Hot Showers are also available in a few for around $4 and charging costs about $1.50 an hour.
Unforeseen cost due to flight cancellation, weather conditions etc. You are responsible for
extra hotel nights ($30/night) and meals in Kathmandu for any extra days in Nepal due to
flight delays.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
We understand things happen and plans change and will refund your fund minus a 25% cancelation fee. Once we have booked your flight between Kathmandu and Lukla your deposit is non-refundable. If your travel dates change we can generally reschedule you at no extra charge, but please provide at least 7 days advance notice.
